We Take Pride in Being UNC Bears

In fact, you won’t find a bigger, bolder group of graduates than the network of UNC alumni.

We may live in different cities, be graduates of different class years, and pursue different careers, but together we are UNC's Bear Network and we believe in the power of giving back.

Aspects of teaching that may seem fairly routine can impact students for years to come, inspiring them to be the best version of themselves. Sometimes, a professor’s work can even lead to the discovery of a possible new National Park.

Langley Cook's emphasis on unsung historical figures can partially be attributed to her students. Striving to make her students feel seen, supported and well represented in the lessons she teaches, she values and often implements the feedback she receives from her students to continue elevating the courses she teaches.
